Family Carers - Caring/Life Balance

Each member of the family needs to assess their own situation and be honest and realistic about the amount of help that they can provide.  Although everyone will want to do as much as they possibly can, caring for an Alzheimers' sufferer is a huge undertaking.  Each family member will have their own families, children, work comitments and social activities to attend to and life still has to go on.  Some members of the family may just find it too difficult in having to 'lose Mum or Dad', but they may be able to offer assistance in another form such as financially.
