Complaints & Compliments


One of the essential components of achieving and maintaining the best possible quality standards of care for our clients at Fingal Home Care, is our complaints procedure. We endeavour to operate a policy of openness and fairness when dealing with any complaints. As a service provider to the HSE, Fingal Home Care Ltd is governed relative to the 'Making of a Complaints and Addressing the Issues Arising there from by, Part 9 of the Health Act 2004. The Act in particular, sets out the statutory rights of users of the service and other interested persons to make complaints and have them handled in an open and transparent way.

  • Complaints may be made by phone, however complaints made against a named member of staff must always be made in writing or by email to our General Manager
  • All complaints made will be logged and statistics relating to complaints will be a matter of report by management to the Board of Directors.
  • No Client - or any person who makes a complaint - will suffer in any way as a result of having so done provided that the complaint is made in good faith.
  • We take all complaints with equal seriousness and ensure their prompt investigation and where necessary, the application of appropriate corrective action.

At Fingal Home Care we are always delighted to receive compliments on our service and of our Carers.  If you would like to express your thanks for a job well done, we will of course pass this on to the relevant member of staff.  Our Carers often work long shifts and they provide a service 365 days of the year, so it is really well received when we pass on a compliment from a client.  It is always good to hear that we are consistently delivering excellent standards in the field of home care, and this lets us know that our quality standards and quality monitoring system, staff training and continuous reviewing of our clients care and services are working!
