At Fingal Home Care we are constantly reviewing our Quality of Care to our Clients. We are committed to always maintaining the high standards which we have trained our Care Staff to deliver.  In order to maintain these standards of excellence we are regularly reviewing our service with our clients with our Quality Monitoring System.

It is intended that the outcome of our quality monitoring system will benefit our Clients, Care Staff and Fingal Home Care by ensuring services are provided to the highest standards.  We actively seek all feedback on a regular basis from our clients; it is a fundamental part of our ability to provide continuous quality care.

Monitoring & Evaluation - Our Continuous Commitment to Quality Provision:

  • Clients are provided with a client booklet prior to service that explains the company procedures and contact details of their Client Care Manager.

  • Fingal Home Care ensure that our Carers have an enabling approach to care, that is delivered in a person centered way.

  • Health & Safety Risk Assessment completed prior to service commencement. 
  • All Carers are trained and equipped with personal protective equipment such as gloves/aprons.  They will also have completed their Fetac Level 5, which includes a module on Infection Prevention and Control. Carers are matched to clients in terms of suitability to the clients' needs.
  • Our Client Reviews are recorded on our review forms, so complaints or concerns areiStock 000020194511Small Thumbnail0 noted, actions agreed and remedies put in place.

  • Clients are aware of the procedure for them to raise issues in relation to the service they receive.  Any complaints are welcomed and handled in a professional, effective and efficient way.

  • On-the-spot checks are carried out regularly by our Trainers. All of our Carers are Garda vetted and reference checked. All of our Carers are fully insured.

  • All of our Carers have First Aid and Patient/Manual Handling.  Fingal Home Care is committed to all of our Carers attaining the Fetac Level 5 in Healthcare Skills qualification.  We are also committed to on-going training and professional development of our care staff.

  • Fingal Home Care endeavour that you have a regular staff team, in order to cultivate a good working relationship and to ensure continuity of care. Our Carer Monitoring System ensures that service is being delivered on time, by the required number of Carers, and the duration of the call is accurate.  Our clients can be informed immediately if their Carer will be late or if another Carer will be coming.

  • Our Communication Policy ensures that our Carers communicate effectively with our Client Care Managers - reporting any incidents or concerns immediately. 

  • Our Employee Handbook ensures that our Carers are equipped with all the relevant information on our policies and procedures e.g. uniform, identification badge, health and safety, older person and younger person protection, protection of vulnerable adults policy, standards of care, medication management, moving and handling regulations, personal protective equipment, food handling etc.
