Q.How long has Fingal Home Care Ltd been in operation?

A.Operating now for over 30 years we are a well-established and respected home care provider.  We have rapidly grown over the years and offer a comprehensive range of home care and advanced home care services to assist people to remain in their own homes.  We are proud of our high staff retention rates and the majority of our Carers have been with us for many years now.  We can offer you extensively trained and experienced Carers, backed up by a second to none quality monitoring system.

Q.What Services do Fingal Home Care Provide Home Care?

A.Fingal Home Care provide non-medical care in a clients' own home to support them with their activities of daily living, which can include Personal Care, Alzheimer's/Dementia Care, High Dependency Care, Palliative Care, 24 Hour CareDisability Care/P.A.sMental Health Care, Autism/Intellectual Disability Services, supervision, companionship, Home Help Services, Meal Preparation/Qualified Chef Services. Q.In Which Areas Do Fingal Home Care Provide Services?

A.Fingal Home Care Ltd cover vast areas of Dublin North from the Liffey to North County Dublin, Co. Louth and across to Dublin West and Co. Meath.  Our Services includes the following areas; Ashbourne, Balbriggan, Baldoyle, Ballyboughal, Balrothery, Baskin, Cloghran, Donabate, Donaghmede, Duleek, Finglas, Garristown, Killsallaghan, Loughshinny, Lusk, Malahide, Naul, Oldtown, Portmarnock, Portrane, Ringcommons, Rolestown, Rush, Skerries, Smithstown, St. Margarets, Swords and The Ward.

Q.Are Fingal Home Care Staff Garda Vetted & Insured?

A.All Carers are fully insured and Garda Vetted.  They also bring considerable home care experience in dealing with clients and their families in a sensitive, caring and compassionate manner.

Q.Do Fingal Home Care have a Quality Monitoring System?

A.Yes. At the cornerstone of our commitment to providing the highest quality care to our clients, our Quality Monitoring System ensures that we are always actively seeking all client feedback.  Our policies and procedures in relation to quality ensure that we continue to grow and improve our quality services to clients in their homes.

Q.What if I just want Evening or Weekend Care?

A.Fingal Home Care can provide our care services around the clock - our service operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.  So whatever your care requirements, i.e. mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends etc. we can provide services from half an hour to 24 hour care.

Q. What level of training do the carers have?

A. Initially our carers must complete a period of training and 'shadowing' with other qualified Carers, this is under the supervision of our Trainers. All Carers have completed first aid and patient/manual handling training.  We are also committed to have all of our Carers attain the Fetac Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Skills.  In addition we have continuous new training, up-skilling and refresher courses available to staff, including Alzheimer's/Dementia Care, Elder Abuse Awareness, Specialised Food Preparation/Dysphagia, Autism/Intellectual Disability, Palliative Care etc.

Q. How Do I Make An Enquiry?

A.Contact the Client Care Manager For Your Area by Phone or Email, or Submit an online query via our Contact Us page. If you wish to proceed, we will arrange a suitable date for a home care assessment (usually within 24 hours) to determine your personal needs and supports required to assist you to remain living at home.  Our Client Care Manager will then be able to draw up your individual care plan, provide you with a quote for services and arrange for care to commence.

Q.How Much Does Home Care Cost?

A.We charge an hourly rate for our services and depending on the type of services and the level of care required, the rates will vary accordingly.  We can provide competitive rates for overnights, weekends, 24 hour and respite care. Our Client Care Managers will provide you with a quote for your care prior to service commencement.  

Q.Can I Get Tax Relief?

A.Income Tax Relief may be available to clients or their relatives at their top rate of tax, subject to Revenue Commissioners conditions and approval. READ MORE...

Q.Will you provide a home assessment prior to commencement of my home care service?

A.Yes, one of our Client Care Managers will carry out a home care assessment of your needs to determine the level of supports which we can offer you.

Q. Will you provide a written care plan before you begin service?

A.Yes, your home care plan will be developed with you so we can deliver the service that you want and need.  This way the client has a clear understanding and expectations of the service being provided, and our Carers know exactly what duties are expected of them.

Q.What if I don't get on with the Carer I have been given, can I ask for an alternative Carer.

A. Yes of course we will replace a Carer at your request.  We always encourage our clients never to be hesitant about complaints or dislikes, we always welcome your feedback. We want our clients and their families to be 100% satisfied with the service and the Carer that we have assigned them. 

Q.What happens in the event of an emergency, such as calling an ambulance?

A.In the event of an emergency, our care staff will call for an ambulance and wait with you or your loved one until the ambulance arrives.  They will then inform their Client Care Manager of the emergency, whom in turn will contact the family members.
